2 Arrested in Deadly Gas Station Shooting in Queens: Police

Police say they’ve arrested two men in connection with the shooting death of a man at a Queens gas station earlier this year.

Charles Williams, 26, and Moeleek Harrell, 25, of Brooklyn have been charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the NYPD.

Police say Williams and Harrell shot 28-year-old Derek Quattlebaum, also of Brooklyn, multiple times at the BP gas station on Atlantic Avenue and the Van Wyck Expressway in Jamaica on Jan. 20.

Surveillance video shows the men running away and fleeing in a blue 2003 Audi A6 bearing a Vermont license plate, GHF-306, according to police.

Quattlebaum was found with gunshot wounds to the head, torso and limbs, and later pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital.

The video shows other customers at the gas pumps crouching by their cars as the suspects run away.

It was not immediately clear if Williams or Harrell had attorneys.
