We're all feeling the sting of the recession, but there's a reason to count your pennies: It's time for this summer's Restaurant Week.

More than 250 of the City's top restaurants are participating this year, including Le Cirque, Mesa Grill, Nobu, Craftbar, Tribeca Grill, Primehouse New York and Blue Smoke.  Notable newcomers include 10 Downing, Elettaria, Bar Artisinal, The Red Cat and DBGB Kitchen and Bar.

"New Yorkers and visitors alike look forward to NYC Restaurant Week each summer for a combination of great dining and great deals, and this July is no exception," said Jane Reiss, a representative for the event.

Now in its 18th year, Restaurant Week has grown from three weeks to two and is taking place July 12-31.

The deals exclude Saturdays (bummer) but prices for the program remain unchanged this year: $24.07 three-course prix-fixe lunches and $35 three-course prix-fixe dinners.

Over the winter, Restaurant Week ran for months -- as the program was extended because of the economic downturn.

Reservations and the full list of participants are available by visiting www.nycgo.com/restaurantweek.
