The notorious MS-13 gang has some bold moves in its playbook, according to a new report.

Authorities are investigating a claim that Mara Salvatrucha leaders in El Salvador ordered the execution of a U.S. law enforcer who's been cracking down on the street gang's New York activities.

The plot to assassinate the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agent was highlighted in an arrest warrant for reputed gang member Walter (Duke) Torres, according to the Daily News.

He allegedly told authorities of the plan when he and four other MS-13 members were arrested for harassing people on Northern Boulevard in Queens last month, the News reported. Torres said the kill order came from gang leadership in Central America, and and that he had traveled to New York in August specifically to carry out the execution, according to the paper.

The gang was trying to get a high-powered assault rifle to penetrate the federal agent's bulletproof vest.

Another MS-13 informant told investigators that the agent was targeted because the gang was angry at him for arresting many of their members over the past three years, according to the News, which obtained an affidavit in the case.

The murder was going to be carried out by the Flushing, Queens, division of MS-13, according to the informant.
