Actor allegedly sent mass text message seeking companionship

Actor Jeremy Piven, who once was best known for playing "Entourage" agent Ari Gold, apparently called for his college-dropout girlfriend after he got sick in New York two weeks ago.

Piven, now best known as the guy who quit a recent Broadway run because of mercury poisoning, is now dating model-waitress Ashley Chontos, according to a report in Wednesday's Daily News.

Another report out Wednesday suggests Chontos isn't the only woman Piven met in his recent stay in Gotham. According to Gawker, Piven collected the digits for several others, then fired off a sleazy text that read: "Come to my room - whoever responds first gets me for the night."
