Suspect In Queens Livery Cab Shooting Caught On Video

Victim is still in critical condition

Police have released surveillance video of man wanted for shooting a livery cab driver in Queens on Friday night.

Investigators say the video was taken by the camera inside the car and shows a man in his 20's, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt. The man clearly pulls a gun on the driver.

The victim, who has been identified by the cab company as Trevor Bell, 53, of St. Albans, is in critical condition. The incident happened on a dead-end street in South Ozone Park, cops and witnesses said.

Bell was hit in the neck while sitting behind the wheel of a gold Chevy Impala at 122nd Street near Sutter Avenue, police said.  The shooting happened around 10 p.m., and the victim was brought to Jamaica Hospital.

Bell had been working for Big D's Car Service for almost seven months, said owner Frank Favors, 71.

"He's a very nice guy," Favors said.

Favors also said the suspect had come into the service's headquarters and specifically asked for a ride to the dead end before the killing.
