Police have arrested a man in connection with a late-night gunpoint robbery in Central Park that targeted three men.

The 20-year-old Manhattan resident has been arrested on charges of robbery and weapons possession in connection with the incident that happened near East 102nd Street at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Two men in their twenties were approached by an armed man who demanded their property, cops said. A third man happened upon the group and was also robbed. No one was hurt.

Police canvassing the area made an arrest and recovered a gun.

There was no immediate information on whether the arrested man had a lawyer. There was no phone number listed under his name and address.

The incident is the latest in a string of three robberies in Central Park, which has shed it's former legacy as a place to be wary, The New York Post reported today.

On Nov. 2, at 7:20 p.m., near East Drive and the Great Lawn, a 62-year-old Upper West Side man was approached from behind by two robbers, one armed with a gun, who took his Blackberry, wallet, $100 cash, Visa card and driver's license, cops said. The perps were described as white and Asian men, the Post said.

On Oct. 29, at 4:10 p.m., on a foot path near 97th Street and the West Drive, a 21-year-old Upper West Side man was put in a chokehold by one attacker while another struck him on his forehead. The perps, described as black males, fled without taking anything.

Police do not believe the three incidents are connected.
