Joe Biden's Air Force Two Plane in Incident at L.I. Airport

Air Force Two with Vice President Joe Biden aboard has been involved in a minor accident with no injuries at a Long Island airport.

An Air Force spokeswoman says that a small private plane was knocked over by the jet wash from Biden's plane as it taxied to take off Wednesday morning at Francis S. Gabreski Airport in Westhampton Beach in eastern Suffolk County.

The left wing of the Piper Cub was damaged but no one was on board.

Air Force Major Michelle Lai says Biden's Boeing 757 took off with those aboard apparently unaware of what had happened.

The Air Force and the 89th Airlift Wing are working with local airfield management to investigate the incident, officials said.

Biden has had some serious bad luck with New York traffic before -- just usually not in the air.

Earlier this month, a part of the vice president's motorcade was involved in a fender bender: Two NYPD motorcycle units helping escort the veep were involved in a minor accident in Queens.

The officers suffered minor injuries and are being treated at Elmhurst Hospital. The VP continued on his way.

Last November, two advance vehicles -- paving the way for Biden to appear on The Daily Show -- were driving on 49th Street and 10th Avenue when they slammed into a livery cab. Four people -- two NYPD officers and two civilians -- were injured.

The cars apparently had lights and sirens on at the time, officials said
