At least there is some good news with the troubled Broadway production of "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark."
Actor Christopher Tierney, who was injured over two weeks ago when he fell into the orchestra pit from 35 feet during a performance of the musical, made an appearance to the Foxwoods Times Square Theater as a spectator, The Associated Press reported. It was Tierney’s first time back since the accident.
After the show, Tierney, who wore a back brace, told the AP: "It's what I've been waiting for the past two weeks — to see my friends and finally watch the show.”
As a result of the accident on Dec. 20, during a preview performance, Tierney had several broken ribs and a fractured skull.
Before the show, Tierney greeted his fellow actors backstage and sat in the orchestra seats.
He told the AP that his rehab is progressing and that he wants to get back onstage soon. "Hopefully, I'm back in a good amount of time," Tierney said.
The musical is slated to open on Feb. 7.
