The Health Department will again set up H1N1 vaccination clinics this weekend offering the vaccine to select at-risk groups.

Pregnant women, anyone who lives with children under 6, and people between 4- and 24-years-old are eligible to receive the vaccine at these clinics.

Those under 18 must get parental consent and children under 16 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

The clinics will also administer the vaccine to anyone between the age of 25 and 64 who has health conditions that make swine flu deadly, especially those who have diabetes, heart or lung conditions, kidney failure, asthma, or a weakened immune system.

Workers in the health care industry who cannot get the flu shot through their employers and have direct patient contact also qualify.

“If you belong to any of these priority groups, and you don’t have access to H1N1 vaccine through a primary health care provider, we urge you to take advantage of this opportunity,” New York City Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley said. “Getting immunized is the best way to prevent the spread of infection.”

The clinics will not serve children under four but regular vaccination sites will. You can find  them with the Google Maps vaccination site locator, NBC New York reported on earlier.

For more information, visit the city’s flu Web site where there is a complete list of the locations throughout the five boroughs.
