"Family Guy" Sings at Carnegie Hall

Tickets for Carnegie Hall's Monday and Tuesday night shows come with a disclaimer: "Warning: this production contains adult language and situations that may not be suitable for all ages. Recommended for mature audiences only."
And no, it's not Celene Dion bringing her ages 50 and up Vegas sleeper to NYC, as much as you might have wished. Rather, it's "Family Guy Sings" - a live reading of two "Family Guy" episodes, starring five cast members backed by the show's 40-piece orchestra!
Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Mila Kunis, Seth Green, and Mike Henry bring their characters of Peter, Lois, Chris, Meg, and Cleveland to the stage for a show that Borstein promises "always turns filthy".
According to the NY Press, they have no idea what episodes they're set to perform until the day before the concert. It's a short prep time for the cast - although Borstein, who plays Lois, is used to the abuse after years on MADtv and the recent birth of her nearly three-month old son.
As the tv-mom to Stewie, the sophisticatedly evil baby on the show, you've got to wonder if her son carries over any of his doom-mongering characteristics. In the Press, Alex doesn't necessarily settle my fears.
“At times I do feel this child is trying to kill me—biting my nipples, crying for an hour straight, screaming.", she admits. "I just want to curl up in a corner like a woman in a Lifetime movie. It’s like you’re in an abusive relationship.”
It sounds like my relationship with "Family Guy", which has grown from its survival years after the cancellation, living on ripped DVDs in college dorm rooms, to become one of the most successful animated programs of all time.
