Jerry Fuchs falls five stories

Jerry Fuchs, the 34-year-old drummer for the bands !!! (pronounced "chk chk chk") and Maserati, died Sunday after falling five stories down an elevator shaft during a party in a Williamsburg building, police said.
Fuchs had been trying to climb out of a disabled elevator car when his clothing caught on something, causing him to tumble five stories to the ground.
Unconscious and unresponsive when emergency responders brought him to Bellevue Hospital Center, Fuchs was pronounced dead at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, about three hours after the fall.
Fuchs had been attending an invite-only benefit to raise money for women in India, reports The New York Post.
Police say there's no suspected criminality, but the Buildings Department is investigating.
