Need a job? The Census Bureau Needs Help

Census Bureau Ready to Hire Locals

If you're looking for work close to home, then the census bureau may be able to help.
There are hundreds of temporary positions across the country that need to be filled once Census 2010 gets underway.
In New York, temporary workers are needed in Westchester and Rockland counties.
The jobs can last anywhere from two to ten weeks depending on the workload.
Workers will use a hand-held computer to help verify addresses on a list, to ensure that everyone gets a census form in April of 2010.
More positions will likely be open depending on how many households ignore the form and require a follow up visit.
