Fewer Job Fairs, Recruiters Greet College Students

Students close to graduating from college are facing a tough reality while looking for jobs, as fewer recruiters with fewer open positions are setting up at job fairs.

Despite a tough outlook for employment, many public institutions, like CUNY Baruch, isn’t hurting for new applicants.

At Baruch, many new students are opting for business programs.  Career development officials said even as Wall Street jobs are disappearing, there is an expansion in areas like credit risk management, green technology and also potential jobs in education and government.
