Construction Watch: Brooklyn's Toren Now One-Quarter Skinned

Brooklyn's Toren, which was the subject of a Times story this weekend, now has about one-fourth of its skin applied and has become the dominant structure on that end of Flatbush Avenue. Nearly half of Toren's units are said to have sold and, according to the Times, half those that have signed contracts are Asian-Americans, many from families living in Sunset Park and other neighborhoods. In the meantime, the skin on the SOM-designed tower is now about halfway up the building.
