Beatles and “Rock Band” Come Together in Deal

Remaining members of the Fab Four to license songs for use in video game

There really is nothing you can do that can be done, nothing you can sing that can't be sung.

It's easy.  All you have to do plunk down some cash for the new Beatles Rock Band game.

Details are still sketchy but the greatest band of all time and one of the world's most beloved rock-n-roll video games are coming together on a joint venture.  The two surviving members of the Beatles, who still won't allow their songs on iTunes, are licensing songs from their top-selling catalogue for use in the wildly popular video game.

The deal was confirmed this morning by the Wall Street Journal and will be formally announced this morning in New York  by executives from Apple Corps  and MTV Networks, which owns Rock Band.
