Captain Chesley Burnett "Sully" Sullenberger and wife attend the 2009 Vanity Fair Oscar party in Hollywood.

Now you know they’re going to make a movie about him.

Hero airline pilot Capt. Chesley Sullenberger – “Sully” to his friends and the enraptured masses – was flyinging high as he and wife Lorrie graced the Vanity Fair Oscar dinner and after-party that wrapped up the Academy Awards on Sunday night. In fact, he was the “toast” of the shindig, according to the New York Post’s Page Six.
"Even the stars were starstuck by Sully -- seriously EVERYONE wanted to meet him -- and he had his own 'walker' at the party to escort him around," according to an insider.
The bash, thrown by magazine publisher Graydon Carter at the Sunset Tower Hotel, was uber-exclusive and drew the cream of the Hollywood crop, including award winners Penelope Cruz, and Kate Winslet, Dennis Hopper, Mickey Rourke, Gwen Stefani, Sidney Poitier, Michael Douglas, and one unidentified couple who paid $60,000 for tickets at a charity auction held by Sir Elton John, Page Six reported.

If any of the Hollywood celebs, their agents, producers or screenwriters want to get a head start on the treatment for the Sully movie (which would be awesome), they can check out the essay he wrote about his miraculous Jan. 15 landing of a AirbusA320 on the Hudson River in the current issue of Newsweek magazine.
