  • Spoiler alert: A government bailout may be on the horizon. The rumblings about said bailout come as conditions at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac continue to sour. The Treasury Dept denies the rumors. Says one insider: "The markets are acting like a bailout is inevitable." Decide for yourself.  
  • Virtual jury duty? No thanks. The online community Cellufun has created its own justice system in which unruly members -- those who use profanity or initial fights -- are tried by a jury of their peers and receive sentences that range from to being mute for 20 minutes to banishment.  
  • Love at first smell doesn't have quite the same ring to it as the old adage but it may be just as accurate. Our sense of smell significantly alters our behavior and shapes our social interactions. Check out why after the jump.
  • Economic woes are now driving a new trend: reverse migration. Ex-pats in the U.S. are returning home to get more bang for their buck. Take, for example, these Brazilian-born U.S. residents who have returned to the South American country where the economy is thriving. 
  • Sure, blame it on the Ice Age. But new findings suggest that many ancient species -- i.e. the giant kangaroo and the marsupial rhino -- were wiped off the map because of humans, not because of climate change.
