    Lower-priced items like Cheerios have been flying off the shelves as consumers clamor for cheap, on-the-go meal options.

    You don't have to be smart to impress people -- you just have to fake it. Here's a daily list of must-read articles that will impress your co-workers, wow your friends and make you seem smart....

    • Cheerios for dinner? Consumers are finding better ways of chompin' on the cheap and General Mills said its lower-priced, on-the-go items such as their cereals and Yoplait are flying off the shelves, bucking the current market trend for food vendors.
    • Goth fashion lives on! The NYT looks at the history of the dark, post-punk look and its transformation -- including its new runway presence as Haute Goth.
    • Andy Reid, the current coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, watches the "Greatest Game Ever" matchup between the Baltimore Colts and the NY Giants from 1958.
    • AIG is pulling the plug on its "Strength to be There" advertisements campaign and all of its corporate advertising through the end of the year. Good thing since they're in the midst of a government bailout.
    • The Arctic Sea shrank to its second lowest level on record and scientists predict that within 5 to 10 years the Arctic could be completely free of ice during the summer.
