The Situation Gets Tossed from “Dancing with the Stars”

“I really didn’t think it was fair,” reality star says before he's exiled to the Jersey Shore

Reality bites.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, his abs and pro partner Karina Smirnoff were cut loose from “Dancing with the Stars” on Tuesday, voted off after having fallen to the bottom of the show’s leaderboard for an Argentine tango judge Bruno Tonioli dismissed as "really, really, really, really, really terrible."

“I really didn’t think it was fair,” the MTV “Jersey Shore” reality star said of having earned 28 points out of 60 for Monday’s lift-heavy performance.

Indeed, Sorrentino told Usmagazine.com hours before getting the boot he was so upset over the judges’ criticism that he’d “stormed off” the show's set to sulk in a studio parking lot.

"I don't know what their deal was. I really don't know," he told Us. "I was upset. I actually stormed off upset because I tried so hard. I really did. I changed my haircut, I don't know."

At least when it came down to the final moments before Tuesday’s elimination, Sorrentino appeared in better spirits.

As host Tom Bergeron solemnly described the relative weaknesses of the final three – Bristol Palin, ex-NFLer Kurt Warner and Sorrentino – Bergeron was struck momentarily speechless by Sorrentino flexing his pecs in quick succession.

“How do you do that with your chest man? That’s amazing,” Bergeron said after recovering. “Bruno just gave you a 10 by the way.”

Sorrentino said in his exit speech that he was happy to have lasted as long as he had and prove he’s a more complex character than some might assume.

“At ‘Jersey Shore’ you get a little keyhole of who I really am,” he said.

With Sorrentino’s exit from the hit ABC dance competition, Palin earned another reprieve. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba had told the daughter of Sarah Palin she lacked "effort."

Among those also set to lace up for another go in the ballroom are: favorite Jennifer Grey, Disney star Kyle Massey, ex-“Brady Bunch” star Florence Henderson, singer Brandy, Warner, ex-NBA player Rick Fox and “Hills” reality TV star Audrina Patridge.
