Original “Dallas” Cast Joins Show Reboot

The Ewing family is headed back to Dallas.

Three of the biggest stars from the 80s hit drama - Larry Hagman (J.R. Ewing), Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing), and Linda Gray (Sue Ellen Ewing) - will reprise their original roles in a planned TNT relaunch of the iconic series, reports Zap2it.

The new show will continue to focus on the trials and tribulations of the Ewing clan, a family that built its considerable wealth in the oil and cattle raising industries.

According to a press release from Turner, the new show will pick up where the old one left off.

"The modern story of Dallas focuses on the Ewing offspring - J.R. Ewing's son, John Ross, and the adopted son of Bobby and Pam Ewing, Christopher - as they clash over the future of the family dynasty," it said.

Playing John Ross will be Josh Henderson from Desperate Housewives. Jordana Brewster, who is known for her work in Fast & Furious and the TV show Chuck, will play Elena, who becomes involved in a love triangle between John and his cousin, Christopher.

No date has been set for the airing of the new show.
