Jennifer Lopez Out as “Idol” Judge: Report

Looks like J.Lo is a no-go.

Jennifer Lopez has reportedly been cut loose from “American Idol” judge discussions because of diva-ish behavior, according to People mag’s secret source.

“Her demands got out of hand,” the source told People. “Fox had just had enough.”

The report has not been confirmed, with Fox reps and the show’s production company telling various entertainment news outlets “no comment.” Jenny from the Block’s people are also keeping mum.

If true, the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer and actress’ exit would be the latest setback – or round of free publicity – for Fox execs  ahead of its 10th season.

With filming already underway, the show is still eyeing replacements for judges Simon Cowell, who left the show to bring U.K. talent competition “The X Factor” stateside, and Ellen DeGeneres.

Within hours of DeGeneres’ announcement last month that she’d decided to bail after just one season on the show, a host of news sites reported Lopez had signed up.

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has said he “probably” will join the show as judge -- even as the fate of remaining “Idol” judges Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi remains unclear.

Amid reports that DioGuardi is set to get the axe, her father said she's upset with the way she’s been treated, according to E! News.

"Would you believe that she did not hear and still has not heard anything?” Joe DioGuardi told Capital Tonight. “She read it the way you did and I did. In fact, her disappointment is that's the way she's being treated, and she feels that's not proper."

Meanwhile, chalk up another name to the list of those vying for a spot on “Idol's” panel: Mariah Carey.

“She talks about it. She says, 'I would love to do that,' " the singer’s hubby Nick Cannon told The Hollywood Reporter. "She is one of the greatest singers of our time; she would be great."

With J.Lo out of the picture, Carey joins rumored "Idol" hopefuls Diddy, Jessica Simpson, Justin Timberlake, Elton John, Donald Trump, Brett Michaels, Harry Connick, Jr., and Courtney Love one step closer in line.
