Matthew McConaughey Turning Brother ‘Rooster' Into FOX Cartoon Star

Matthew McConaughey has always been an animated actor – but it's his brother who is becoming an actual cartoon.

"Rooster Tales" will reportedly follow the adventures of a beer-drinking, redneck sheriff who marries a younger woman from Mexico. However, the man soon sees his wife comes with a catch – her 114-member family.

"My brother's life is so unbelievable, we had to animate it," Matthew told the Hollywood trade paper.

The real-life Rooster will also executive produce the series with his brother.

However, this isn't Rooster's first Hollywood venture – he appeared in the TruTV reality series "Black Gold." He also had a small part in Matthew's 1998 film "The Newton Boys."

Rooster previously earned headlines in 2006 when he named his second child Miller Lyte McConaughey.
