Mary Tyler Moore Is “Recovering Nicely” After Surgery

Beloved TV icon Mary Tyler Moore is "recovering nicely" after undergoing surgery to remove a benign tumor on the lining of her brain, according to rep as reported by The Associated Press.

Erica Tarin, a spokesperson for the actress, said Moore will not need additional treatment following the four-hour procedure. She did not indicate specifics on when or where the procedure took place.

According to a previous report in People, Moore and her doctors have been monitoring a benign tumor for several years, and the procedure she is set to have is relatively common.

Earlier today, a plucky Moore made a surprise appearance on the "Rachel Ray Show" - dropping by to see her old pal and former co-star Dick Van Dyke.
