NBC comedic legend Jerry Seinfeld has signed on to be the first guest when Jay Leno returns to the network for his new program, "The Jay Leno Show," next month, Access Hollywood can exclusively reveal.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the "Run This Town" supergroup of Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West will be Jay's first musical guests.

While Jerry and the supergroup are just a few of the many big names that will pass through the doors of Jay's new show, he admitted last week at the NBC portion of the Television Critics Association panel that his new program won't be based on guest interviews and musical performances.

Jay will have a host of comedic commentators including D.L. Hughley and "The Hangover's" Rachael Harris, as well as NBC "Nightly News" anchor Brian Williams.

The new show will also feature a racing portion with stars like Tom Cruise, who has already expressed an interest in the bit, competing against Jay on a timed course.

"We're going to do something called the Green Car Challenge. All celebrities talk about being green, but we want to see who's green and fast and we're working with a major manufacturer now," Jay said last week. "They're building us some really, really high powered electric cars that are as fast as any race cars and we will take the celebrity, we will put them in the car and have them do a lap on the track and see who is the fastest."
