Most people can't wait to get rid of their braces and glasses but America Ferrera will be sad to see her Ugly Betty trademarks go when the show ends it's run April 14.

America Ferrera has a new film, "Our Family Wedding," coming out next month, just as "Ugly Betty," the show that made her a star, is  going off the air.

Ferrera has strong feelings for the TV show, which ABC cancelled last month after a four-year run that brought her a Golden Globe and an Emmy.

"It's my family," Ferrera told PopcornBiz. "It's been the last four years of my life in the most intense way. We work, at the very least, twelve hour days, five days a week, 10 months out of the year, for four years in a row. It's going to be hard to say goodbye but it will always be such an incredible period of my life. I'm so proud of what we've done."

Asked what will be the most difficult thing to part with, she quickly replied, "The people. And the character. I really love Betty and I've lived with her for so long."

So what's next on the agenda for the actress? When asked if she'd entertain the idea of doing another TV show, she laughs. "I would entertain sleeping for three months," she said with a wry smile.

"Ugly Betty" series finale airs on ABC, April 14.

"Our Family Wedding" opens March 12.
