Trace Adkins' Band Involved in Fatal Crash

A pickup truck struck the tour bus carrying members of the country singer's band

A tour bus carrying the band of country music singer Trace Adkins was involved in a fatal car crash in Louisiana on Saturday, according to KTBS, a local ABC affiliate.

Two men were killed on impact when their pickup truck crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the tour bus in Caddo Parish, LA, local police told KTBS. Five members of Adkins' band were also injured in the accident.

Adkins was not on the bus, but the country singer arrived at the scene to pick up the uninjured members of his band, Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator told KTBS.

“He was extremely concerned, as you might expect,” Prator said. “He was comforting the band members. He helped them load their luggage and then headed to the hospital.”

Adkins, a Louisiana native, is scheduled to perform in the area on Saturday night and has decided not to cancel the show, but to perform a solo acoustic set instead, officials told KTBS.
