Rihanna Hints at New Album Release Date

Tweets "the wait is ova" on Nov. 23

Rihanna hinted on Twitter that her new album could be dropping in the coming months, teasing in her first post on the social networking site that "the wait is ova" on Nov. 23.

Rihanna created a Twitter page late Tuesday afternoon, writing only the cryptic post marked with the November date. Her page also features a link-out to her Web site, which also advertises "the wait is ova," attached to an image of a jagged R on the site's home page.

This would be the fourth album for Rihanna, whose first three studio records all topped the Billboard charts. Her third album, "Good Girl Gone Bad," released in 2007, featured five top ten hits -- "Umbrella," "Take a Bow," Disturbia," "Don't Stop the Music" and "Hate That I Love You" and earned Rihanna nine Grammy Award nominations.

This would be Rihanna's first time back in the studio since her altercation with R&B superstar Chris Brown, who battered his ex-girlfriend after a fight in February.

Brown was sentenced to community service earlier this year for the fight, which left Rihanna with a black-and-blue face and bruised lip, featured in a picture that circulated through the media after being leaked by the LAPD.

Rihanna, 21, was born in Barbados and moved to the United States at 16 to pursue her career.
