After an embarrassing spectacle that got Amy Winehouse booed at her Belgrade concert, the singer cancelled her European tour.

The five-time Grammy-award winning artist, out of rehab for just three weeks, had a public meltdown on Saturday night at her first tour stop in Serbia. She went home to London and cancelled the remaining concerts of what was supposed to be a comeback tour ending August 15 in Romania.

"Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all schedule performances," a spokesman said on Tuesday, according to Reuters. "Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen.

Her management also said Winehouse "would like to apologize to fans expecting to see her at the shows but [she] feels that this is the right thing to do," according to People magazine.

On Saturday, the audience jeered and booed as she stumbled around, unable to remember the lyrics to her own songs.  At times, she could barely stand up and seemed disoriented. At one point she dragged over a backup singer to sing for her, the Associated Press reports. Many of the 20,000 fans walked out in disappointment.

Winehouse reportedly declined payment for the botched gig, but her management has yet to comment on refunds for the audience.

The British 27-year-old rose to fame with 2006 album "Back to Black" and won 4 Grammys for the hit "Rehab," but hasn't released new material since.
