The First of the Last “Harry Potter” Trailers Is Here

No wizards were hurt in the making of this trailer.

Can you contain your excitement?

Warner Brothers released the first of the trailers for the second part of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” during the wee hours of Thursday morning.

Not surprisingly, the scenes within the 1:58 trailer are all darkly overcast, and push toward the epic final clash between Harry and Lord Volde—er, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

Fans of the “Potter” series will note that there’s already one major discrepancy between the book and the film—at no point does Harry drag You-Know-Who with him off a Hogwarts parapet. But that hardly warrants sending the screenwriter a Howler.

The trailer also teases an action-packed break-in to Gringotts, the wizard bank, where Harry, Ron, and Hermione escape on the back of a dragon.

The first installment of “The Deathly Hallows” opened last November; expect fans to go crazy on June 15th, when the final installment hits theaters.
