Will Ferrell gave a Los Angeles Lakers game an unexpected halftime show when he pegged an apparent cheerleader in the face with a basketball Wednesday, in a stunt set to become a scene in his new movie.
The comic was supposedly going for a half-court shot but wound up knocking the dancer — well, stunt woman, really — off her feet mid-routine instead, video shot courtside showed.
Security quickly descended on Ferrell and hauled him off the court at New Orleans' Smoothie King Center, where the Lakers were taking on the Pelicans.
The entire kerfuffle was part of the shoot for Ferrell's upcoming movie "Daddy's Home," which the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported he's been filming in the Big Easy since November.
