Rudolph shot to fame on "Saturday Night Live" where she stayed for 11 years. Following her time on the sketch series, Rudolph co-starred opposite Kristen Wiig in the smash hit film "Bridesmaids" and was part of NBC's "Up All Night" with Christina Applegate and Will Arnett.

NBC and Rudolph began working on her variety show back in November 2013.
