Sarah Silverman doesn't want to be Mrs. Michael Sheen, contrary to reports.

Star magazine recently ran a story titled, "Sarah Wants A Ring." The tabloid claimed Silverman, 43, had left "pictures of engagement rings all over the place" so Sheen, 45, would get the "hint" and propose. The recurring Masters of Sex special guest star responded to the ridiculous romance rumors via Twitter Sunday.

"Just read that I wanna get married which is hilarious b/c I will never get married," the Emmy-winning comedienne tweeted. "Why would I want the govt involved in my love life? Ew. It's barbaric. That s--t never bothers me b/c who cares but I feel like this one is bigoted. The Jew girl MUST want a RING! Yich."

Sheen has yet to respond to the story via his own Twitter account. The couple began dating after meeting at Sheen's 45th birthday party in West Hollywood.

This isn't the first time Silverman has sworn off marriage. Asked by Playboy in April 2010 if she would ever tie the knot, the comic replied, "It's just not for me. I'm a vegetarian, but I don't have a problem if you want a hamburger. Marriage, to me, is like eating meat. I think it's gross and f--king crazy. It's this superbarbaric, old-timey tradition that no one remembers we don't have to do anymore." Even so, Silverman added, "I really do believe in love. I've experienced it, I've had it, so I know it's real."

Silverman, who once dated Jimmy Kimmel and Family Guy writer Alec Sulkin, said not all relationships are meant to last forever. "Sometimes loving each other isn't enough. You have to be responsible for your own happiness," she said. "You can't stay in a relationship because you're afraid of the unknown."
