Jerry Seinfeld Teases Details of “Secret Project”

Rumors have been buzzing ever since Jerry Seinfeld and his "Seinfeld" co-star Jason Alexander were photographed strolling into Tom's Restaurant in New York City earlier this month.

Was it for a Super Bowl ad? A full reunion show? Simply a lunch meeting between former co-workers?

Appearing on WFAN's "Boomer & Carton" show Thursday, Seinfeld first talked football before questions arose over the Tom's get-together arose.

While the sitcom legend wouldn't reveal exact details of what the project is, he did say that they weren’t filming a commercial or an episode of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” Or not.

Seinfeld stressed that "it’s a secret project,” adding that he had given "more now than I’ve given anyone. I told you what it isn’t. And then I also told you that it isn’t not that, either.”

Following his vague explanation, the radio hosts did manage to extract a few more details from the comedy star. What we know so far: Larry David was involved but will not appear on camera; it's a "one and done" occurrence; it lasts longer than 60 seconds but is "short-ish" in form; other locations were used along with Tom's; and other "Seinfeld" characters as well as Jerry and George will also feature.

Best news of all: the "secret project" will be released "very, very soon," Seinfeld said.
