“Fifty Shades” Author To Publish Writing Guide

Author E.L. James is indulging fans of her "Fifty Shades" trilogy in another kind of passion: writing.

Vintage Books announced on Monday that it has collaborated with James to create "Fifty Shades of Grey: Inner Goddess (A Journal)," The Associated Press reported.

The fan-fiction-writer-turned-best-selling author dispenses advice for aspiring writers on the pages of the journal, which has a "bonded leather" cover. The journal also includes a foreward by James, exerpts from the "Fifty Shades" book and a playlist that inspired James to write.

"As E.L. James traveled and met with her readers, there was a great curiosity about how she got started writing," Vintage publisher Anne Messitte told The Hollywood Reporter. "Her personal story as a writer is inspirational to many women, and journaling has been an important part of her creative process from the start."

James' erotic trilogy -- "Fifty Shades of Grey", "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" -- was published by Vintage Books in paperback and e-book last spring and has sold 70 million copies globally.

The "Inner Goddess" journal will be published on May 1.
