Cowell Grants 5-Year-Old Girl's Wish Days Before her Death

Bethany Fenton dreamed of the day that she'd sing for Simon Cowell, and just two days before losing her battle with a brain tumor, the five-year-old achieved her final wish.

Little Bethany not only sang for her idol, she met some of her heroes from Cowell's show "Britian's Got Talent" on Saturday.

"I loved them all, especially Kieran, who asked for my wristband to give us both luck ... Simon let me sing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' to him. He's so nice and I love him," the little girl told UK's "Daily Mail"

Fenton was ecstatic following her day at 'BGT' and her performance for Cowell. "They came back from Britain's Got Talent on Saturday. On Sunday she was fine, she was absolutely over the moon with what happened," family friend and spokesperson Robin Thompson said.

After more than a year of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the young girl from Fairford, passed away in Oxford on Tuesday afternoon after a sudden deterioration in her condition at home, according to Popeater.com. Surgeons had said that the little girl's tumor, diagnosed as a grade three to four anaplastic astrocytoma brain tumor, was impossible to remove as it was inside her brain, growing outward.

From his judging stints on "American Idol" and "Britain's Got Talent," Cowell, known for his brutally honest remarks toward the hopefuls, allowed his compassionate side to shine through toward the ill youngster and her family.

"He is just so sad, and sad for the whole family. She was a very special little girl and Simon was touched when she sang for him ... He was happy that he was able to do a special something on Saturday night to give her a few precious moments but it is so sad and his heart goes out to Bethany's mum and dad and he is thinking of them," Cowell's spokesperson Max Clifford said.

Bethany's mother Jemma and father Sean are also parents to son Louis, and daughters Millie and Gracie. Mr. Fenton, a PE teacher, and former soldier who'd served in Afghanistan recalled the experience and his daughter's joy at 'BGT.'

"Meeting the acts was great - but the highlight of the day was meeting Simon Cowell, who was a true gentleman, joking with Bethany and listening intently as she sang to him," he said.
