Tidbits: Lohan's Dad Defends Mel Gibson

While Lindsay Lohan spends what could be her last few days in rehab, her headline-loving father, Michael, has turned his attention to another embattled star — actor-director and alleged abuser Mel Gibson.

“I will not judge (Mel),” the senior Lohan told PopEater. “Nor will I believe his girlfriend's apparently doctored tapes.”

It’s an interesting stance from Lohan, who has his own history of releasing secretly recorded and seemingly incriminating tapes of his ex-wife, ex-girlfriend and even his beleaguered daughter.

Still, for whatever reason, Lohan refuses to believe the leaked tapes made by Oksana Grigorieva accurately reflect Gibson’s private rants and rages. Not that it really matters to the newest member of Team Mel. After all, it’s not his place to condemn the man.

“All I know is Mel went on the line for Jesus Christ, built a church for God and has helped many,” Lohan explained. “It's so easy for others to point fingers and cast blame when money and pride are involved. I pray for him and God will be the judge.”

Gloria Allred reacts to Tiger Woods’ divorce
Now that Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren have officially divorced and put nine messy months of marital woes behind them, high-profile attorney and outspoken Woods-critic Gloria Allred has one last piece of advice for the golf great.

“Tiger can begin again but he should never forget the human wreckage that he has left behind and the fact that he has still not been fully accountable for the suffering that he has inflicted on women,” Allred said in a statement delivered to TMZ.

Dish on the fly
During a visit to “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” reality TV vet Sharon Osbourne, who’ll take on daytime television as part of the ensemble show “The Talk,” didn’t hold back when explaining how her upcoming effort compares to “The View.” “We’re very different women,” Osbourne said of herself and co-hosts Julie Chen, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini, Sarah Gilbert and Marissa Jaret Winokur. “We’ve got different opinions and we’re not miserable and dry … I think ours will be edgier and more real, and not so trying to be politically correct and like you’ve got a stick up you’re a--.” … It’s going to take more than diet and exercise to get Kendra Wilkinson’s pre-baby body back — at least that’s what the former “Girls Next Door” gal pal believes. Eight months after giving birth to her first child, Wilkinson has announced that she wants one more babe and then she’s ready for the old nip-tuck. “I didn’t get liposuction after Hank (Jr.), because I knew I wanted more babies,” she said in a quote published in Star magazine. “But I will 100 percent have lipo after my second baby, because until then, I know I will never be satisfied looking in the mirror.”
