PETA: We'll Pay For Lilo's Rehab if She Quits Critters, Too

Group will pay up to $20,000 if Lohan goes vegan

Lindsay Lohan, who says she doesn't have enough money to pay for her court-ordered drug rehab, could get some help if she agrees to go cold turkey on meat and cheese, too.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has offered to pay $10,000 of Lohan's estimated $50,000 tab for three months at the Betty Ford Center if the wayward starley goes vegan for the rehab stint. The annimal loving group will go another $10,000 if Lohan stays a vegan for another year.

"Lindsay Lohan is the most visible example of a real addict, and if she can conquer her addiction to meat and cheese, absolutely anyone can," PETA President Ingrid Newkirk said. "If she does, she'll not only save animals but save her own health, and she'll be an example to the millions of people who watch her every step."

PETA made a similar offer to "Octomo" Nadya Suleman. She got $5,000 and a month's supply of vegan hot dogs just for putting a sign in her yard encouraging people to sterilize their pets.
