Mother of 14 said she combines kid-friendly meals and midnight workouts to lose weight

Octomom Nadya Suleman says she shed 145 pounds without plastic surgery or a personal trainer just nine months after giving birth to a set of octuplets.

Suleman, who gave birth on Jan .26, debuted her svelte body on the pages of Us magazine and revealed that she once tipped the scales at nearly 300 pounds.

"I topped 270 pounds while pregnant," she told the magazine.

The 5-foot-7 single mother of 15 said she joining a gym after giving birth, where she said she does three midnight strength-training workouts per week and only gets three hours of sleep each night. Her rigorous routine allowed her to slim down to 125 pounds, she said.

She doesn't even bother adding cardio to her exercise routine.

"I get enough of that with the kids," she told Us.

Octomom said she eats five small, protein-filed meals or snacks made up of "anything the kids are eating". She said oatmeal, sushi, turkey and even homemade baby food as regular fare.
