Oksana Grigorieva is stepping out as more than Gibson's girlfriend.
Mel Gibson's pop singer girlfriend is starring in a role directed by non other than the "Braveheart" actor himself.
Russian-born beauty Oksana Grigorieva released her first music video for her single "Say My Name" and was directed in the sultry shoot by her boyfriend and soon-to-be baby daddy, Gibson.
The song, which was also co-written by Gibson, is the title track of Grigorieva's upcoming debut album "Beautiful Heartache," according to People Magazine.
"It is naked, intimate, raw emotion, little more than piano and voice as if it is a cry from the soul,' Grigorieva told People.
The clip, in which "The Passion of the Christ" director took a softer approach than in his previous projects, also features a heated tango filmed during a seven-day shoot in Mexico City.
Grigorieva first stepped out publicly with the Oscar-winning filmmaker at a Los Angeles screening of X-Men Origins: Wolverine on April 28, two weeks after Gibson's former wife Robyn had filed for divorce. The songstress is signed to Gibson's label, Icon Entertainment, and the couple is expecting their first child in the fall.
Music critics bashed the single, saying its something you would hear at a fancy hotel bar during cocktail hour.
But even amid deafening criticism, Grigorieva is hoping to bounce back with her new black-and-white video. The video goes for hot and sultry, spotlighting the classically-trained pianist seated at a Steinbeck piano in an dark empty music hall.
