Paris Hilton is seen in West Hollywood on June 17, 2010 in Los Angeles, California.

A man caught banging on Paris Hilton's door in Mulholland Estates was arrested Tuesday after scuffling with a security guard in the gated community.

James Rainford, 36, who got past the security gate on a bicycle about 12:15 p.m., was booked at the Van Nuys jail on suspicion of assaulting the security guard, police said.

Rainford, who lives in Wildomar in Riverside County, was arrested on the basis of a complaint by the security guard. Bail was set at $20,000.

It was unclear if Hilton, who lives in the 3300 block of Clarendon Road, was home at the time.

In August, Hilton and boyfriend Cy Waits were awakened by a man who was banging on the windows of the home. Waits held him at gunpoint for police.
