Lindsay Lohan showed her fans her musical side with 2004’s “Speak” and 2005’s “A Little More Personal (Raw),” but the actress’ upcoming as-yet- untitled album is a one, which the actress said she avoided for a long time.

“I just got off the phone with my Motown manager,” Lindsay told Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos. “I’ve been avoiding calling her back.”

Lindsay said her reps had called and emailed multiple times about finishing work on the new album, but she avoided them, feeling “on the defensive.”

“I just — I didn’t want to,” she explained. “With my other records, I kind of just did it, just to do it.”

In the past, Lindsay said she struggled while working on her movies and music at the same time and wants to avoid the stress of simultaneous major projects in the future.
“I want to be able to focus and balance my life,” Lindsay added. “So, I can enjoy each thing as I do it and as it comes.”
