Other than being stars, they are also among DoSomething.org’s Top 20 Celebs Gone Good of 2010, the Los Angeles Times reported. The Web site, which guides young people with volunteerism opportunities, announced its list of charitable celebs on Thursday.
Gaga led the pack with her advocacy of the repeal of the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy that banned openly gay people in serving the military. The Web site also cited her hosting the Hands Up For Marriage Equality event, which supports same sex-marriage.
Teen star Bieber was acknowledged by DoSomething.org for helping to raise $150,000 for a children’s hospital in Buffalo, N.Y. as well as his affilation with Pencils of Promises, which promotes educational growth such as building schools.
DoSomething also recognized Leonardo DiCaprio for his efforts to help the endangered tiger population through spearheading Save Tigers Now and donating $1 million for the cause.
Also on the list are Oprah Winfrey, Shakira, Prince William, Wyclef Jean, Matt Damon and Alicia Keys.
