Jay-Z Releases Song About Daughter Two Days After Her Birth

Blue Ivy Carter gets feted with a brand new single posted on Hova's official site.

Some proud new dads rush to Facebook to excitedly post about their new babies. Others, however, rush to the recording studio.

Superstar rapper Jay-Z posted a single about his newborn daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, just two days after he and wife Beyonce welcomed her to the world.

The song, called "Glory," not only celebrates the birth - the single was posted on Jay-Z's official site above a photo of the Empire State Building lit up with blue lights with the caption "Life just got REALLY good" - but also reveals that Beyonce had previously suffered a miscarriage.

“False alarms and false starts, all made better by the sound of your heart/All of the pain of the last time, I prayed so hard it was the last time," raps Jay-Z.

The song ends with a sample of baby Blue's cries. That's right, she's already collaborated with dad on a new single.
