Time Magazine Rushes out Jackson Edition

Commemorative issue on Jackson to reach stands on Monday

A special edition of Time Magazine commemorating the King of Pop will hit newsstands on Monday.

For the first time in eight years, the news magazine will publish a special edition between weekly issues.

For the issue, Time magazine spoke with people that were influenced and touched by the Pop Icon, including Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Nancy Regan, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, John Mayer, and many others.

The last time the glossy issued a commemorative edition between issues was after September 11. They have also published special issues commemorating other breaking news events like the election of President Obama, and the untimely deaths of Princess Diana and JFK Jr. 

TIME will publish a special commemorative issue on Michael Jackson to hit newsstands on Monday, June 29.
