Perhaps the most shocking bold-face departure from the tents this year was Zac Posen, whose Spring 2010 collection proved no less a party in a scaled back venue.
We're practically giddy over the ebullient rainbow of party dresses and uber-girly outfits shown this morning. And Posen didn't stop there- oversized basket-weave, diamond stripes, peek-a-boo cutouts, sheer vinyl overlays, asymmetrical hems, tulle-tied shoes, glitter, sparkle, sequins and even lips and high-five applique brought the collection to life. At the same time, these are no Suzy Social Butterly fluffy little things - there's a commanding force in the silhouettes, and we expect to see them dominating the room come spring.
