Zac Posen has branched out from spectacular eveningwear to create Z Spoke, a lower priced contemporary sportswear line, showcasing for the first time the designer's hand at separates. Prices start at $78 and the clothes drop exclusively at Saks this Spring.
According to Posen himself, Z Spoke represents the minimalist "urban hipster" of the Lower East Side girl. Spiced-up classics like a navy tee, cotton shirts, blazers, knits, dresses and pleated khaki shorts retail between $78-$675, and adhere to a mostly neutral palette with bursts of color sprinkled throughout. The Z will hang in Sak's fourth-floor Wear section, alongside comparable brands Tory Burch, Elie Tahari and M Missoni.
We're with the Pinz on the name (and that would be on the fence), but can't help but be excited for this new Zac Posen at a price point we might actually achieve.
