Spike Jonze's “Wild” Collaboration with Opening Ceremony

The director of "Where the Wild Things Are" partnered up with the downtown indie designer emporium on a series of pieces inspired by the cult children's book-turned-movie, including furs by O.C. owner Humberto Leon and claw-bedecked jewelry by Pamela Love.

You wouldn't think of Spike Jonze as much of a fashion plate (and he admits to W that he's not much of a shopper), but Jonze clearly knew how to pick a winner in terms of local stores for his collaboration. And he gives Opening Ceremony seriously high marks for its layout and selections: "It's like a post-Google, post-MySpace kind of world where it's more combinations that tie everyone together than geography."

Jonze apparently approached Leon six months ago about doing a "Wild Things" collaboration, and the store owner proved incredibly easy to work with. The final results include Leon's faux furs and Thread favorite Pamela Love's claw jewelry and -- believe it -- a headband with horns and more than few feathers.
