We've been burned by convertible pieces in the past (visions of velcro and snap-off accoutrements come to mind), so we're grateful that the folks at High Snobette pointed us in the direction of this Michael Kors version, since the designer absolutely nails it with this over-the-knee zippered style. It's three boots in one!
Perhaps Kors sensed that the average woman now needs a slew of boots to keep in line with fall's trends -- from an over-the-knee style to a bootie. Granted, the price might be high for a black suede boot ($595 at Revolve), but when one considers how versatile this boot actually is, it's quite bargain. What's more, it lets you take advantage of a trend like over-the-knee that might not necessarily last through next year.
