With most of the fashionable set in Paris, we were excited to see what the nation's most stylish would wear to the shows of iconic labels like Dior, Lanvin, and Vivienne Westwood. Sadly, we were seriously disappointed when some neglected to even wear pants.
Rihanna's been taking some rather in-ter-esting liberties in Paris for fashion week -- most note-worthy, her see-through striped dress to Gareth Pugh's show -- and overall we respect her attempts to be a risque-yet-stylish counterpoint to Lady Gaga's over-the-top carnival looks, but woman! Pants! Especially with over-the-knee boots, this is a little too pre-transformation "Pretty Woman" for our tastes. And even Vivian Ward had the dignity to wear a miniskirt. And the oversize blazer just seems cartoonish when you don't appear to have much on underneath.
We know that, apparently, come spring we'll all have to be prepared for the no-pants trend, but it's cold out there!
