The “Devil” Returns, and She Still Wears Prada

A sequel to "The Devil Wears Prada" hits shelves April 2013.

The author and former Vogue assistant who penned "The Devil Wears Prada" is writing a sequel to the bestselling book, EW reports.

Lauren Weisberger, who brought life to the beloved characters later played onscreen by Emily Blunt, Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep, is writing a sequel called "Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns." The book will hit shelves next April.

In case you forgot, the story follows budding journalist Andrea "Andy" Sachs (played by Anne Hathaway) who becomes the assistant for prickly, demanding Runway magazine editor Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep.) By the end of the first book Andy has parted ways—on bad terms—with her boss, but made friends with Emily (played by Emily Blunt), a fellow assistant at Runway.

According to EW, the sequel picks up eight years later. Although Andy is now editing The Plunge, a hot bridal magazine, she's still haunted by her former boss.

Let's all cross our fingers that a second movie is in the works as well.
